In Life Ring meetings, your religious and spiritual beliefs, or lack of them, remain a private matter. There is no religious or antireligious content in the meeting process. At most Life Ring meetings, people sit in a circle and after a short opening statement, the meeting facilitator will ask, "How Was Your Week?" Black Bear Lodge is a residential treatment facility located in Atlanta, Georgia that treats drug addiction and co-occurring disorders. It is located in the serene forest foothills of Yonah Mountain in northern Georgia. Dual Diagnosis is their specialty and their philosophy is that substances are not the problem, they are the solution insofar as they are used to treat an underlying problem such as mental illness or previous trauma. The lodge uses numerous modalities, including DBT, CBT, and acceptance and commitment therapy. The Camden Center opened in 2013 and is a medical organization established and operated by physicians. NOT a 12-Step based program. They offer case & money management, employment assistance, ID's, money orders, transitional & permanent housing referrals, transportation, support groups, outreach activities. For eligibility, the client must be homeless encampment dweller, or have no income/low income.
MARSHAL HOUSE offers 71 units of transitional housing for recovering substance abusers. They offer case management, money management, transportation, job education and referral, self-help/12 step recovery groups, and socialization activities. To be eligible, the client needs 90 days of sobriety or 60 days with verification of completion from a detox/rehab. agency. Random Drug screenings/zero tolerance.
HOPWA is for low income clients diagnosed with HIV/AIDS who must have six months of sobriety and be willing to participate in random drug testing.
